A project of Quỹ Từ Thiện Bông Sen (Lotus Charity Fund), Smile Restaurant provides thousands of meals per days to low income residents of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The food is always prepared fresh daily, and each meal is packed with nutritious ingredients that are delicious, filling, and heart warming. No one is discriminated at Smile Restaurant, regardless of their jobs, backgrounds, appearances, or disabilities. Since the start of our business to November 2020, our team members donated their time every month to work at the restaurant as volunteers. A portion of our proceeds also went to supporting the restaurant with their food cost and maintenance.

On September 7, Super Typhoon Yagi, the strongest storm in the past 30 years, severely impacting at least 26 provinces in Viet Nam, with the Northern region being the hardest hit. The storm, with wind speeds exceeding 120 km/h, destroyed homes, crops and livelihoods, causing severe flooding and landslides, particularly in the mountainous and midland provinces of Northern Viet Nam, greatly impacting the lives of children, families, and particularly vulnerable communities. To promptly share the burdens of the affected people, the Vietnam Red Cross has urgently deployed emergency relief activities and called for community support to help people overcome difficulties. Immediately after the typhoon, the Vietnam Red Cross has initiated initial emergency relief, supporting over 5,700 households, equivalent to nearly 23,000 people affected by Typhoon Yagi and subsequent floods in 10 provinces and cities.
Between March and July 2020, Little Sunnie donated $10,601.03 to CDC Foundation to support their front line efforts to combat COVID- 19. Funds raised by the CDC Foundation would be used to meet fast-emerging needs identified by CDC to help respond to the public health threat posed by Coronavirus. These include additional support for state and local health departments, support for the global response, logistics, communications, data management, personal protective equipment, critical response supplies and more.
